The GREAT Leeds Fungi Exhibiton
Hosted at Headrow House, Leeds showcasing the work of local creatives in mediums including ceramics, textiles, zines, paintings and more. An evening celebrating fungal art and the mycelial world featuring live poetry performances.
“Mushrooms are more than meets the eye. They are the unseen heroes of our ecosystems, decomposers and connectors, a vital part of the web of life. As you wander through this exhibition, perhaps you’ll find yourself contemplating the potential of fungi – as a source of medicine, a sustainable material, or even a key player in the fight against climate change. So, let this be a springboard for your own exploration - creatives and wanderers alike. Through these artworks, we discover not just their physical beauty, but also the wonder and mystery they inspire. A special thank you to the collaborators of the mushroom quilt: Willow Maxwell, Katie Neal and Naomi “Nam” Crame.”
